It is reported that total approximate earnings of Indian Railways on originating basis during the period from October 1st to 10th 2009 were INR 2173.34 crore as compared to INR 1879.01 crore during the same period last year, registering an increase of 15.66%.
The total goods earnings have gone up from INR 1227.14 crore during the period from October 1st to 10th 2008 to INR 1431.58 crore during October 1st to 10th 2009 showing an increase of 16.66%
